Coaching for Team Alberta 

The Alberta Powerlifting Union is now accepting applications to coach at the 2026 CPU National Championships in St. John's, Newfoundland from March 9th - March 14th, 2026. There will be multiple positions offered to coach and manage both male and female Alberta athletes across all age divisions.

The positions available are as follows:
  • Team Coach - Multiple
  • Team Manager

Application Process & Deadline:

Please review the coaching application form linked below.  We encourage candidates that meet the qualification/coaching requirements to submit a cover letter and resume by February 1st, 2026 to: [email protected].

CPU Certified Coaches

The CPU offers a Powerlifting Course where it teaches you the fundamentals of coaching in our sport. This includes program design, technical breakdown and correction, meet day strategies, athlete/coach conduct, and referee/jury processes. After completing the course, the registrant must complete 50 training hours and take an in-person evaluation at a CPU/APU sanctioned competition.
