Coaching for Team Alberta 

The Alberta Powerlifting Union is now accepting applications to coach at the 2020 National Championships in Winnipeg, MB from March 3 - 7.  There will be several positions offered that will be responsible for coaching our Team Alberta during the week of competition.  

The positions available are as follows:
Head Coach (3)
Assistant Coach (3)
Team Manager (1)
Intern Coach (2)

Application Process:

Please review the coaching application form below.  We encourage candidates that meet the qualification/coaching requirements to submit a cover letter and resume by January 24, 2020: alberta.powerlifting.union@gmail.com.

CPU Certified Coaches

The CPU offers a Powerlifting Course where it teaches you the fundamentals of coaching in our sport. This includes program design, technical breakdown and correction, meet day strategies, athlete/coach conduct, and referee/jury processes. After completing the course, the registrant must complete 50 training hours and take an in-person evaluation at a CPU/APU sanctioned competition.
