Coaching for Team Alberta 

The Alberta Powerlifting Union is now accepting applications to coach at the 2023 National Championships in Vancouver, British Columbia from February 13-18. There will be multiple positions offered to coach and manage both male and female Alberta athletes across all age divisions.

The positions available are as follows:
Head Coach - Multiple
Assistant Coach - Multiple
Team Manager (1)
Intern Coach - Multiple

Application Process:

Please review the coaching application form below.  We encourage candidates that meet the qualification/coaching requirements to submit a cover letter and resume by December 3, 2022: alberta.powerlifting.union@gmail.com.

CPU Certified Coaches

The CPU offers a Powerlifting Course where it teaches you the fundamentals of coaching in our sport. This includes program design, technical breakdown and correction, meet day strategies, athlete/coach conduct, and referee/jury processes. After completing the course, the registrant must complete 50 training hours and take an in-person evaluation at a CPU/APU sanctioned competition.
