Powerlifting  Equipment

Written by: Kain Lyon
Athletes who train exclusively in a commercial gym are in awe at the luxury inherent in the competition grade equipment used at the average powerlifting meet.   For example, the rack used in competition, which can be used for both squat and bench press, can be tailored to any body type and competitor.  As well, the powerlifting bar has useful and sharp knurling to enhance your grip, the weight plates are calibrated to within a quarter percent of the advertised weight in kilograms, and it will all be sitting on a slightly raised, carpeted platform of at least 2.5m x 2.5m.
