2025 CPU NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS - QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
The APU Board understand there have been a lot of questions from our members around the qualifying standards for participation at the upcoming 2025 CPU National Championships. Communication on the qualification requirements was sent to our members back in the spring but we know the CPU's one-time allowances/changes to their qualification requirements have created some confusion. We hope the below information helps to clarify the CPU and APU requirements and provide a clear pathway for all our members - first time and for those who have been to nationals before.
If you have any questions or wish to confirm you have met the requirements prior to registering for the 2025 Nationals, please send an email to the APU President at [email protected].
Important Note:
In addition to the requirements below, all members are required to hold a CPU Elite membership to set National Records, compete at Canadian Powerlifting Union Regionals or Nationals, and to compete on the National Team at IPF Competitions. Please check that you have the appropriate membership type. If you are unsure, please check your CPU Membership card or login to your account (esportsdesk) to confirm that you have an Elite membership prior to registering for Nationals. More information can be found here.
